About your teacher

Hi, I'm Sophie.

I got into teaching without really planning to, and stayed because I love the moment someone stops translating in their head and just starts talking. That's what every lesson is built around, whether we're working through grammar, prepping for an exam, or just talking about your week.

Language is a bit of an obsession of mine. I studied theology to the point where I can read ancient Greek and Hebrew, which is an odd party trick but does mean I take grammar more seriously than is strictly healthy. Don't worry, your lessons stay refreshingly modern.

I don't do textbook drilling. Lessons are built on real conversation: we talk, I correct gently as we go, and we work on whatever you actually need English for, whether that's work, an exam, or just the confidence to speak up.
